SUMMARY

Requires state agencies, boards and commissions that issue
certain licenses, certifications, permits or registrations to
record applicant's Social Security number on application for, or
form for renewal of, driver license or certain permits. Requires
these state agencies, boards and commissions, to maximum extent
feasible, to include applicant's Social Security number in
certain automated databases.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to recording of Social Security numbers under license
suspension provisions of child support law; amending ORS
25.785.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. ORS 25.785 is amended to read:
25.785. Any state agency, board or commission that is
authorized to issue an occupational, professional { + , + }
{ - or - } recreational { + or driver + } license,
certification { + , permit + } or registration subject to
suspension { - pursuant to - } { + under + } ORS 25.750 to
25.783 shall require that an individual's Social Security number
be recorded on an application for, or form for renewal of, a
license, certification { + , permit + } or registration and
{ + to the maximum extent feasible + } shall include the Social
Security number in automated databases containing information
about the individual.
