SENATE AMENDMENTS TO
A-ENGROSSED HOUSE BILL 2473

In line 2 of the printed A-engrossed bill, after the first
semicolon delete the rest of the line and line 3 and insert '
creating new provisions; and amending sections 1 and 3, chapter
347, Oregon Laws 1999.'.
In line 9, after 'spend' delete the rest of the line and insert
'an amount each biennium, beginning on July 1 of the biennium, on
aquaculture products from private aquaculture facilities that is
not less than the amount the department expended on aquaculture
products from private aquaculture facilities during the 2001-2003
biennium.'.
Delete lines 10 and 11.
Delete lines 15 through 20.
In line 21, delete '(3)' and insert '(2)'.
Delete line 24 and insert:
' { + SECTION 2. + } Section 3, chapter 347, Oregon Laws
1999, as amended by section 2, chapter 935, Oregon Laws 2001, is
amended to read:
' { + Sec. 3. + } Sections 1 and 2, chapter 347, Oregon Laws
1999, are repealed on June 30, { - 2006 - } { + 2010 + }.
' { + SECTION 3. + } { + (1) The State Department of Fish
and Wildlife shall report to the Seventy-third Legislative
Assembly on aspects of the program established in section 1,
chapter 347, Oregon Laws 1999. The report shall contain:
' (a) A description of the strengths and weaknesses of the
program; and
' (b) Recommendations on how the department can fully integrate
the policy of purchasing trout produced by private aquaculture
facilities with the hatchery management policy and the native
fish conservation policy of the department.
' (2) The State Fish and Wildlife Commission shall appoint an
advisory committee to assist the department in compiling the
report under this section. Members of the advisory committee are
not entitled to compensation or reimbursement for expenses. + }
' { + SECTION 4. + } { + Section 3 of this 2003 Act is
repealed on January 2, 2006. + } ' .
