  On page 1 of the printed bill, line 4, before the second '
county' insert 'temporary'.
  In line 7, after the period insert 'The county wildlife board
may not be established for a period that exceeds 15 days and may
be established only if:
  ' (a) Wildlife quotas for predatory animals for a geographic
area that includes all or part of the county have been reached;
  ' (b) A clear and immediate danger is posed to persons,
property or livestock by predatory animals; or
  ' (c) The State Department of Fish and Wildlife has refused a
request from the county governing body for assistance in reducing
the numbers of predatory animals in the county.'.
  On page 2, line 4, after 'of' insert a colon and begin a new
paragraph and insert '(a)'.
  After line 6, insert:
  ' (b) More than five of any one predatory animal species per
year.'.
  In line 7, after 'bears' delete the rest of the line and insert
'and cougars. 'Predatory animal' has no relation to and does not
have the meaning given that term in ORS 610.002.'.
  After line 7, insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 2. + }  { + Section 1 of this 2003 Act is added
to and made a part of ORS chapter 496. + } ' .
