  On page 2 of the printed bill, line 25, delete the colon and
insert a comma and delete line 26.
  In line 27, delete '(b)'.
  Delete line 33.
  On page 3, line 1, delete 'dispose of' and insert ' demolish'.
  On page 4, line 24, delete 'an affidavit attesting to the fact'
and insert 'a certification'.
  On page 5, line 35, delete 'in an amount determined by the
department'.
  In line 36, delete 'this subsection' and insert 'ORS 822.700'.
  On page 6, line 1, delete 'an affidavit' and insert 'a
certification'.
  Delete lines 4 and 5.
  On page 9, line 16, delete 'or duplicate'.
  In line 17, after '822.110' insert a colon and delete the rest
of the line and insert:
  ' (a) Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, $958,
for a wrecker certificate covering a single place of business;
  ' (b) $230, for a supplemental certificate for each additional
place of business to be covered by the certificate and operated
under the same name; and
  ' (c) $30, for each duplicate wrecker certificate issued under
ORS 822.110.'.
  In line 18, delete '$____ ' and insert '$958'.
  On page 11, after line 21, insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 21. + }  { + Notwithstanding the requirement
for on-site, technical assistance inspections in ORS 822.110 and
822.125 and the provision that wrecker certificates are valid for
a three-year period pursuant to ORS 822.125, the Department of
Transportation may adopt rules that the department determines are
necessary for an orderly transition from a one-year cycle for
issuing and renewing wrecker certificates to the three-year cycle
created by the amendments to ORS 822.125 by section 11 of this
2003 Act. The rules may include provisions for:
  ' (1) Staggering renewal dates;
  ' (2) Prorating fees for issuance or renewal of certificates;
and
  ' (3) Phasing in on-site, technical assistance inspections. + }
