                             AN ACT
 
 
Relating to advertisements in languages other than English;
  amending ORS 746.115.
 
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
 
  SECTION 1. ORS 746.115 is amended to read:
  746.115.  { + (1) + } An insurer or licensee who advertises in
a language other than English   { - need not - }   { + is not
required to + } provide an insurance policy in any language other
than English so long as the advertisement states clearly that the
policy that is purchased is available only in English.
   { +  (2) Advertisements regarding an insurance policy in
languages other than English may not be construed to modify the
policy in the event of a dispute over the provisions of the
policy. + }
