  Provides that physician is agent of Department of Human
Services under Oregon Tort Claims Act for purpose of medical
services provided to person enrolled in Oregon Health Plan.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to physicians.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + Section 2 of this 2003 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS 30.260 to 30.300. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + A physician as defined in ORS 677.010 is an
agent of the Department of Human Services under the provisions of
ORS 30.260 to 30.300 for the purposes of any medical services
provided to an enrollee in the Oregon Health Plan for which
payment is made in whole or part as medical assistance as defined
in ORS 414.025. + }
  SECTION 3.  { + Section 2 of this 2003 Act applies only to
causes of action that accrue on or after the effective date of
this 2003 Act. + }
