Makes public bodies and officers, employees and agents of
public bodies subject to action under Title II of Americans with
Disabilities Act.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to rights of persons with disabilities to public
services.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + (1) As used in this section, 'public body' has
the meaning given that term in ORS 174.109 and includes the
Oregon Health and Science University and the Oregon State Bar.
(2) Every public body and every officer, employee or agent of
the public body is subject to action under Title II of the
Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, 42 U.S.C. 12131 to
12134. + }
SECTION 2. { + Section 1 of this 2003 Act applies only to acts
or omissions by a public body or an officer, employee or agent of
the public body on or after the effective date of this 2003
Act. + }
