                          AMENDMENTS TO
                   B-ENGROSSED SENATE BILL 308

Speaker Minnis:
  A minority of your Committee on Rules and Public Affairs, to
whom was referred B-engrossed Senate Bill 308, having had the
same under consideration, respectfully reports it back with the
recommendation that it do pass with the following amendments:
 
  On page 4 of the printed B-engrossed bill, after line 22,
insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 5. + }  { + If the Governor establishes a
public safety advisory group, the Governor shall report to the
Seventy-third Legislative Assembly the findings of the advisory
group concerning the overall effect of the changes made by Ballot
Measure 11 (approved by the people on November 8, 1994) on the
public safety system. + } ' .
