                             SUMMARY

  Establishes Tax Me More Fund. Permits donors to earmark how
donated funds may be used. Requires return of donated funds if
earmarked use of funds is not feasible.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to the Tax Me More Fund.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) The Tax Me More Fund is established,
separate and distinct from the General Fund. Interest earned by
the Tax Me More Fund shall be retained by the Tax Me More Fund.
  (2) Moneys donated to the state and not otherwise designated
for a particular use shall be deposited in the Tax Me More Fund.
  (3)(a) Moneys in the Tax Me More Fund are miscellaneous
receipts available generally to meet any expense or obligation of
the State of Oregon.
  (b) Notwithstanding paragraph (a) of this subsection, a donor
may earmark funds donated by that donor to a particular existing
state program. If in the opinion of the State Treasurer it is not
feasible to use earmarked moneys as the donor intended, the
earmarked moneys shall be returned to the donor. + }
