SUMMARY

Requires executive department to sell all gasoline storage
tanks owned by executive department. Allows Oregon Department of
Administrative Services to purchase up to five percent of those
tanks in rural areas of state. Directs department to enter into
contracts with nonretail fuel dispensing facilities to allow
state employees to fuel state motor vehicles.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to gasoline used by state government.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + (1) As used in this section:
(a) 'Class 1 flammable liquids' has the meaning given that term
in ORS 480.310.
(b) 'Executive department' has the meaning given that term in
ORS 174.112.
(c) 'Nonretail facility' has the meaning given that term in ORS
480.310.
(d) 'Rural area' has the meaning given that term in ORS
285A.010.
(2) Except as provided in subsection (3) of this section, the
executive department shall sell all Class 1 flammable liquids
storage tanks owned by the executive department.
(3) The Oregon Department of Administrative Services has the
first right to purchase up to five percent of the total number of
Class 1 flammable liquids storage tanks required to be sold under
subsection (1) of this section. All Class 1 flammable liquids
storage tanks purchased by the department under this subsection
must be located in rural areas.
(4) The department shall enter into contracts with nonretail
facilities to permit state employees, operating state-owned motor
vehicles on official state business, to dispense Class 1
flammable liquids at the nonretail facilities in accordance with
ORS 480.315 to 480.385. + }
