  On page 1 of the printed A-engrossed bill, line 2, after '
accidents' insert a period and delete the rest of the line.
  Delete lines 4 through 28 and delete page 2 and insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 1. + }  { + Section 2 of this 2003 Act is added
to and made a part of the Oregon Vehicle Code. + }
  '  { +  SECTION 2. + }  { + A law enforcement officer who comes
to the scene of an accident described in ORS 811.700 may remove
or direct the driver of a vehicle involved in the accident to
remove from the roadway any vehicle, cargo or debris resulting
from the accident.  A person acting under the authority granted
by this section is not liable for damage to a vehicle, cargo or
debris caused by reasonable efforts at removal. + }

to vehicle accidents occurring on or after the effective date of
