and physical therapist assistants. - }
   { +  Allows licensed physical therapist to continue
administering physical therapy to person after 30 days if not
submitting claim for reimbursement by health benefit plan or
personal injury protection benefits. + }
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to physical therapy.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + Section 2 of this 2003 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS 688.010 to 688.220. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + (1) As used in this section:
  (a) 'Health benefit plan' has the meaning given that term in
ORS 743.730.
  (b) 'Personal injury protection benefits' has the meaning given
that term in ORS 742.520.
  (2) Notwithstanding ORS 688.132 (1)(b), a licensed physical
therapist may continue administering physical therapy to a person
as authorized in ORS 688.130 (1)(a) if:
  (a) Thirty days have passed since the initial physical therapy
treatment has been administered; and
  (b) A claim for continuing physical therapy services for
treatments administered after the 31st day is not submitted for
payment under a health benefit plan or for payment of personal
injury protection benefits. + }
