AN ACT

Relating to the State Aviation Board; and declaring an emergency.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. (1) The terms of members of the State Aviation Board shall be staggered. Notwithstanding ORS 835.102, of the members of the board serving on the effective date of this 2005 Act:

(a) Two shall be considered to be serving four-year terms;

(b) Two shall be considered to be serving three-year terms;

(c) Two shall be considered to be serving two-year terms; and

(d) One shall be considered to be serving a one-year term.

(2) As soon as possible after the effective date of this 2005 Act, the Governor shall determine which members of the current board are serving which terms.

SECTION 2. This 2005 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2005 Act takes effect on its passage.
