AN ACT
HB 5043
Relating to financial administration of the Department of State Lands;
appropriating money; limiting expenditures; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of
the State of
SECTION 1. There
are appropriated to the Department of State Lands, for the biennium beginning
July 1, 2007, out of the General Fund, the following amounts for the following
purposes:
(1) Natural Heritage Advisory
Council $ 25,452
(2) Common School Fund
programs $ 196,325
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding
any other law limiting expenditures, the following amounts are established for
the biennium beginning July 1, 2007, as the maximum limits for payment of
expenses from fees, moneys or other revenues, including Miscellaneous Receipts,
but excluding lottery funds and federal funds, collected or received by the
Department of State Lands, for the following purposes:
(1) Natural Heritage Advisory
Council $ 1,382
(2) South
Estuarine Research
Reserve operations $ 1,764,963
(3) Common School Fund
programs $ 34,867,702
(4) Capital improvements $ 636,129
(5)
Bank Revolving Fund
Account $ 708,997
SECTION 3. Notwithstanding
any other law limiting expenditures, the following amounts are established for
the biennium beginning July 1, 2007, as the maximum limits for payment of
expenses from federal funds collected or received by the Department of State
Lands, for the following purposes:
(1) Natural Heritage Advisory
Council $ 130,166
(2) South
Estuarine Research
Reserve operations $ 2,501,974
(3) Common School Fund
programs $ 1,309,094
SECTION 4. For
the biennium beginning July 1, 2007, expenditures by the Department of State
Lands for unclaimed property finders fees and State Treasurer charges for
investment-related transactions are not limited.
SECTION 5. This
2007 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2007 Act takes
effect July 1, 2007.
