AN ACT
HB 5042
Relating to financial administration of the Secretary of State;
appropriating money; limiting expenditures; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of
the State of
SECTION 1. There are appropriated to the Secretary of
State, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2007, out of the General Fund, the
following amounts for the following purposes:
(1) Executive Office, Business Services
Division, Information
Systems Division
and
Human Resources Division $ 1,833,797
(2) Elections Division $ 6,330,881
(3) Archives Division $ 3,533,581
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other law limiting
expenditures, the following amounts are established for the biennium beginning
July 1, 2007, as the maximum limit for payments of expenses from fees, moneys
or other revenues, including Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery
funds and federal funds, collected or received by the Secretary of State, for
the following purposes:
(1) Executive Office, Business Services
Division, Information
Systems Division
and
Human Resources Division $ 14,202,501
(2) Elections Division $ 123,458
(3) Audits Division $ 14,633,746
(4) Archives Division $ 2,283,676
(5) Corporation Division $ 7,370,148
SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any other law limiting
expenditures, the following amounts are established for the biennium beginning
July 1, 2007, as the maximum limit for payment of expenses from federal funds
collected or received by the Secretary of State for the following purposes:
(1) Information Systems Division $ 1,920,000
(2) Help
SECTION 4. This 2007 Act being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is
declared to exist, and this 2007 Act takes effect July 1, 2007.
