Relating to payment for collection of
signatures on election documents.
Be It Enacted by the People of
the State of
SECTION 1. Section 2 of this 2007 Act is added to and
made a part of ORS chapter 260.
SECTION 2. A person may not pay or receive money or
another thing of value based on the number of:
(1) Signatures a person
obtains for purposes of nominating a candidate for elective public office; or
(2) Signed voter
registration cards a person collects.
SECTION 3. Section 2 of this 2007 Act applies to
signatures obtained and signed voter registration cards collected on or after
the effective date of this 2007 Act.
