  On page 2 of the printed bill, delete lines 37 through 45 and
insert:
  ' (8) Notwithstanding subsection (2) of this section, a
prosecution for rape in the first or second degree, sodomy in the
first or second degree or sexual abuse in the first degree may be
commenced within 25 years after the commission of the crime if
the defendant is identified after the period described in
subsection (2) of this section on the basis of DNA
(deoxyribonucleic acid) sample comparisons.'.
  On page 3, delete lines 1 through 6.
  In line 9, delete 'one year' and insert 'two years'.
