CHAPTER ................
AN ACT
Relating to employees of education agencies; and declaring an
emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + (1) When an employee of the Department of
Education leaves the department to become an employee of a school
district or an education service district, the employee may
transfer any accrued but unused sick leave to the district and
may use the transferred sick leave in accordance with the sick
leave policy of the district.
(2) When an employee of a school district or an education
service district leaves the district to become an employee of the
Department of Education, the employee may transfer any accrued
but unused sick leave to the department and may use the
transferred sick leave in accordance with the sick leave policy
of the department. + }
SECTION 2. { + This 2007 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2007 Act takes effect July 1,
2007. + }
