Requires that Oregon Liquor Control Commission prepare and make
available small business impact statement before issuing new
off-premises sales license for premises that are located within
500 feet of premises already licensed under off-premises sales
license and operated by licensee with five or fewer employees.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to off-premises sales licenses.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + Section 2 of this 2007 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS chapter 471. + }
SECTION 2. { + The Oregon Liquor Control Commission shall
prepare and make available a small business impact statement
before issuing a new off-premises sales license for premises that
are located within 500 feet of premises already licensed under an
off-premises sales license and operated by a licensee with five
or fewer employees. The small business impact statement shall
reflect the anticipated economic effect of the new licensed
premises on the existing licensed premises, including loss of
revenues from sales of alcoholic beverages and other merchandise
sold at the existing licensed premises. The small business impact
statement shall be made available on the website operated by the
commission. + }
