  Makes modifications of provisions relating to establishment of
paternity applicable to proceedings commenced during specified
period of time, regardless of when child was born.
  Declares emergency, effective on passage.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to paternity; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + Section 9, chapter 160, Oregon Laws 2005, and
the amendments to ORS 109.070, 109.073, 109.092, 109.124, 109.175
and 109.326 by sections 11 to 16, chapter 160, Oregon Laws 2005,
apply to proceedings commenced as described in ORS 12.020 after
January 1, 2006, and before January 2, 2008, regardless of when
the child was born. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + This 2007 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2007 Act takes effect on its
passage. + }
