SUMMARY

Requires Legislative Administrator to prepare list of public
bodies established during legislative session that include
members who are not legislators or other public officials.
Requires that list be placed on Legislative Assembly website, be
made available to all media outlets and be mailed to specified
newspapers.
Declares emergency, effective on passage.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to the Legislative Administrator; and declaring an
emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + (1) As soon as possible after the end of each
legislative session, the Legislative Administrator shall prepare
a list of all task forces, commissions, boards and other public
bodies as defined by ORS 174.109 that:
(a) Were established by law or resolution during the
immediately preceding legislative session; and
(b) Include members who are not legislators or other public
officials.
(2) The list prepared by the Legislative Administrator under
this section shall reflect any qualifications specified for
members who are not legislators or other public officials. The
Legislative Administrator shall place the list prepared under
this section on the Legislative Assembly website, shall make the
list available to all media outlets and shall mail copies of the
list to all newspapers published in this state with a circulation
of more than ___. + }
SECTION 2. { + This 2007 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2007 Act takes effect on its
passage. + }
