Prohibits purchase, possession, sale, offer to sell and use of
device that mixes alcohol with gas to produce alcoholic inhalant.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to alcohol.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + Section 2 of this 2007 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS chapter 471. + }
SECTION 2. { + (1) Except as provided in this section, a
person may not purchase, possess, sell, offer to sell or use a
device that mixes alcohol with any gas to produce an alcoholic
inhalant.
(2) Subsection (1) of this section does not apply to an
inhaler, nebulizer, atomizer or other device that is designed and
intended by the manufacturer to dispense a prescribed or
over-the-counter medication.
(3) Subsection (1) of this section does not apply to the
purchase, possession or use of a device described in subsection
(1) of this section for research purposes by a hospital,
pharmaceutical company, biotechnology company, private
university, public university or any other public body, as
defined by ORS 174.109. + }
