                             SUMMARY

brief statement of the essential features of the measure as
introduced.
 
  Appropriates moneys from General Fund to Department of Human
Services for psychiatric day treatment for eastern Oregon
children.
  Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2007.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to mental health care for children in eastern Oregon;
  appropriating money; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + In addition to and not in lieu of any other
appropriation, there is appropriated to the Department of Human
Services, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2007, out of the
General Fund, the amount of $___, which may be expended for
providing psychiatric day treatment at Pendleton Academies in
Umatilla County to eastern Oregon children who are at least six
years of age and less than 18 years of age. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + This 2007 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2007 Act takes effect July 1,
2007. + }
