                      SENATE AMENDMENTS TO

  On page 2 of the printed bill, delete line 7 and insert:
  ' (2) Subject to subsection (5) of this section and the
provisions of a home rule charter, for voter choice offices, the
two candi-'.
  After line 16, insert:
  ' (5) When a candidate for voter choice office receives a
majority of the votes cast for the office at the primary
election, that candidate's name shall be the only one printed for
that office on the ballot for the general election.'.
  On page 18, after line 29, insert:
  ' (3) Not later than the 90th day before the date of the
primary election, a political party shall file with the Secretary
of State a certified copy of the current party rule specifying
qualifications that a candidate must satisfy to be eligible to be
listed on the ballot as a member of the political party. Not
later than the 63rd day before the date of the primary election,
a political party may notify the chief elections officer that a
candidate for nomination to a voter choice office has been
determined by the party to be ineligible to be listed on the
ballot as a member of the political party in accordance with
party rules.'.
  In line 30, delete '(3)' and insert '(4)'.
  In line 34, delete '(4)' and insert '(5)'.
  In line 39, delete '(5)' and insert '(6)'.
