                             AN ACT
 
 
Relating to payment of claims submitted by physician assistants;
  amending ORS 743.725; and repealing section 2, chapter 446,
  Oregon Laws 2003.
 
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
 
  SECTION 1. ORS 743.725 is amended to read:
  743.725. (1)   { - No insurer shall - }  { +  An insurer may
not + } refuse a claim solely on the ground that the claim was
submitted by a physician assistant   { - practicing under the
circumstances set forth in ORS 677.515 (4) - }  rather than by
the supervising physician for the physician assistant.
  (2) This section is exempt from ORS 743.700.
  SECTION 2.  { + Section 2, chapter 446, Oregon Laws 2003, is
repealed. + }
