                             AN ACT
 
 
Relating to financial administration of the Judicial Department;
  appropriating money; limiting expenditures; and declaring an
  emergency.
 
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
 
  SECTION 1.  { + There are appropriated to the Judicial
Department, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2007, out of the
General Fund, the following amounts to be used for payment of
expenses of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Oregon Tax
Court, State Court Administrator and trial courts for the
following purposes: + }

  SECTION 2.  { + Notwithstanding any other law limiting
expenditures, the amount of $32,410,076 is established for the
biennium beginning July 1, 2007, as the maximum limit for payment
of expenses from fees, moneys or other revenues, including
Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery funds and federal
funds, collected or received by the Judicial Department. + }
  SECTION 3.  { + Notwithstanding any other law limiting
expenditures, the amount of $980,381 is established for the
biennium beginning July 1, 2007, as the maximum limit for payment
of expenses from federal funds collected or received by the
Judicial Department. + }
  SECTION 4.  { + For the biennium beginning July 1, 2007,
expenditures by the Judicial Department from amounts waived by
jurors in accordance with ORS 10.075 (3), from the Court Forms
Revolving Fund for costs of providing forms in accordance with
ORS 21.363 and from the Judicial Department Collections Account

established under ORS 1.204 (2) for payment of credit card fees
or collection costs are not limited. + }
  SECTION 5.  { + This 2007 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2007 Act takes effect July 1,
2007. + }
