  On page 2 of the printed A-engrossed joint resolution, line 5,
delete 'and'.
  After line 5, insert:
  ' (b) The Legislative Assembly may exempt from the taxes
imposed under subsection (1) of this section cigarettes, cigars
and tobacco products that are exempt from taxation under Oregon
law on the effective date of this section; and'.
  In line 6, delete '(b)' and insert '(c)'.
  In line 18, delete ', cigars and other tobacco products'.
