AN ACT

HB 2540

Relating to unemployment insurance compensation taxes for musicians; creating new provisions; repealing ORS 657.506; and declaring an emergency.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. ORS 657.506 is repealed.

SECTION 2. The repeal of ORS 657.506 by section 1 of this 2009 Act applies to the performance of services by a musician or musicians on or after the effective date of this 2009 Act.

SECTION 3. This 2009 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2009 Act takes effect on its passage.
