AN ACT

HB 5023

Relating to financial administration of the Department of Justice; and declaring an emergency.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of ORS 291.055 (1)(e), the following new or increased fees, adopted by the Oregon Department of Justice and approved by the Oregon Department of Administrative Services, are approved:

(1)    Failure to file a report or

              pay applicable reporting fees

              by the due date, including

              failure to file a request

              for an extension on or before

              the initial due date....................................   $      20

      (2)    Failure to file a report or

              pay applicable reporting fees

              extending more than 13 months

              past the close of the

              organization report year..........................   $      50

      (3)    Failure to file a report or

              pay applicable reporting fees

              extending more than 16 months

              past the close of the

              organization report year..........................   $    100

SECTION 2. This 2009 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2009 Act takes effect July 1, 2009.
