AN ACT

Relating to the Department of Human Services; and declaring an emergency.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. On or before January 1, 2010, the Department of Human Services shall establish a position to act as a liaison between the department and communities in which the department plans to establish housing for persons conditionally released by the Psychiatric Security Review Board or for persons with mental illness.

SECTION 2. This 2009 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2009 Act takes effect on its passage.
