                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to North Santiam River.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) The State Department of Fish and Wildlife
shall conduct a feasibility study regarding the development of a
zone to improve fish habitat:
  (a) Between the Upper Bennett Dam and the confluence of Gardner
Ditch with the main stem of the North Santiam River; and
  (b) Between the Lower Bennett Dam and the confluence of Gardner
Ditch with the main stem of the North Santiam River.
  (2) In conducting the study, the department shall consult with
other state agencies having a common interest in fish habitat
improvement, the Santiam Water Control District, the City of
Stayton and the City of Salem.
  (3) The department shall report the results of the study to the
Seventy-sixth Legislative Assembly not later than February 1,
2011. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + Section 1 of this 2009 Act is repealed on
January 2, 2012. + }
