  On page 2 of the printed bill, delete lines 38 through 44.
  In line 45, delete '(5)' and insert '(4)'.
  On page 3, line 2, delete '(6)' and insert '(5)'.
  In line 11, delete '(7)' and insert '(6)'.
  In line 13, delete '(6)' and insert '(5)'.
  Delete lines 14 and 15 and insert 'date of the first interview
described in subsection (2) of this section. The employer may
extend the investigation to a maximum of 12 months from the date
of the first interview, provided that, before the extended period
begins, the employer provides written notice explaining the
reason for the extension to the officer and the officer's chosen
representative and union representative, if any.'.
  In line 18, after 'compensation' insert 'or disability'.
  In line 34, delete '(8)' and insert '(7)'.
