                         Amended Summary
  Increases penalty for crime of harassment, under certain
circumstances, to maximum of one year's imprisonment, $6,250
fine, or both.
  Creates crime of aggravated harassment. Punishes by maximum of
five years' imprisonment, $125,000 fine, or both.
  Creates crime of   { - vehicular homicide - }  { +  aggravated
driving while suspended or revoked + }. Punishes by maximum of
five years' imprisonment, $125,000 fine, or both.
   { +  Instructs Oregon Criminal Justice Commission to classify
aggravated driving while suspended or revoked as crime category 7
of sentencing guidelines grid. + }
  Subjects person convicted of   { - vehicular homicide - }
 { + aggravated driving while suspended or revoked + } to certain
driving penalties.

  Your Conference Committee to whom was referred B-engrossed
House Bill 3271, having had the same under consideration,
respectfully reports it back with the recommendation that the
House concur in the Senate amendments dated June 8 and that the
bill be amended as follows and repassed.
 
  On page 3 of the printed B-engrossed bill, line 38, delete '
vehicular homicide' and insert 'aggravated driving while
suspended or revoked'.
  Delete line 39 and insert 'a motor vehicle that causes serious
physical injury to, or the death of, another person while
knowingly violating ORS 811.175 or'.
  In line 41, before 'criminal' insert 'conviction for a'.
  Delete line 43 and insert:
  ' (2) Aggravated driving while suspended or revoked is a Class
C felony.
  ' (3) The Oregon Criminal Justice Commission shall classify
aggravated driving while suspended or revoked as crime category 7
of the sentencing guidelines grid of the commission.'.
  On page 5, line 24, delete 'Vehicular homicide' and insert '
Aggravated driving while suspended or revoked'.
  On page 6, line 19, delete 'or vehicular homicide' and insert
'or aggravated driving while suspended or revoked'.
  On page 7, line 19, delete 'or vehicular homicide' and insert
'or aggravated driving while suspended or revoked'.
  On page 8, line 4, delete 'or vehicular homicide' and insert
'or aggravated driving while suspended or revoked'.
  In line 39, delete 'or vehicular homicide' and insert 'or
aggravated driving while suspended or revoked'.
  On page 10, line 32, delete 'vehicular homicide' and insert '
aggravated driving while suspended or revoked'.
 
  On page 12, line 40, delete 'or vehicular homicide' and insert
'or aggravated driving while suspended or revoked'.
  On page 13, line 25, delete 'or vehicular homicide' and insert
'or aggravated driving while suspended or revoked'.
  In line 43, delete 'or vehicular homicide' and insert 'or
aggravated driving while suspended or revoked'.
