SUMMARY

Congratulates Dave Frohnmayer for his leadership, public
service and accomplishments.
CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
Whereas Dave Frohnmayer has been a leader in Oregon for more
than 30 years, serving in the Oregon Legislative Assembly, as
Attorney General, as Dean of the University of Oregon School of
Law, as President of the University of Oregon and on countless
boards and commissions; and
Whereas while serving as Attorney General, Dave Frohnmayer
argued seven cases before the United States Supreme Court and won
six of those cases, thereby establishing the best record before
the United States Supreme Court of any contemporary state
attorney general; and
Whereas Dave Frohnmayer is the first native Oregonian to serve
as president of a large research university in this state; and
Whereas Dave Frohnmayer has overseen unparalleled growth at the
University of Oregon, transforming the lives of Oregonians and
students with higher education and the lifetime changes that
higher education brings; and
Whereas the University of Oregon has just completed the largest
philanthropic campaign in state history, raising more than $852
million; and
Whereas Dave Frohnmayer has demonstrated an ongoing commitment
to enriching the lives of Oregonians through his leadership and
teaching; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved by the Legislative Assembly of the State of
Oregon:
That we, the members of the Seventy-fifth Legislative Assembly,
honor and congratulate Dave Frohnmayer on his years of
leadership, public service and numerous achievements and express
our appreciation for his lifelong commitment to improving the
lives of Oregonians.
