Whereas Lynne Maureen Angland, loving mother and businesswoman
residing in Powell Butte, died November 21, 2008, in an
automobile accident at the age of 59; and
Whereas Lynne was a prominent CPA in Prineville with a long
history of service and commitment to the citizens of Crook County
and Prineville; and
Whereas as vice chairperson of the Commission for Child Care
since 2004, Lynne was instrumental in passing legislation to help
businesses provide child care benefits for employees; and
Whereas at the time of her death, Lynne was traveling to a
meeting of the commission in Salem; and
Whereas Lynne was involved in a variety of civic and
professional organizations, including the Oregon Society of
Certified Public Accountants, the Crook County Natural Resources
Planning Committee and the Soroptimists International of
Prineville Charitable Trust; and
Whereas Lynne was a proud and doting grandmother, a role model,
a source of unconditional love and support to her children, and a
loving and beloved daughter and sister; and
Whereas Lynne had a deep appreciation for all things wild and
the natural beauty of central Oregon and spent much of her
precious free time hiking with her children and grandchildren;
now, therefore,
Be It Resolved by the Legislative Assembly of the State of
Oregon:
That we, the members of the Seventy-fifth Legislative Assembly,
extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Lynne Maureen
Angland, her friends, her colleagues on the Commission for Child
Care and all the children and families her work has affected.
