President Courtney:
  Your Conference Committee to whom was referred B-engrossed
Senate Bill 274, having had the same under consideration,
respectfully reports it back with the recommendation that the
Senate concur in the House amendments dated June 4 and that the
bill be amended as follows and repassed.
 
  On page 2 of the printed B-engrossed bill, line 1, delete the
boldfaced material and insert 'Notwithstanding ORS 236.140, the
Governor may remove the chief administrative law judge only for
cause.'.
  Delete line 2.
