                       HOUSE AMENDMENTS TO
                   A-ENGROSSED SENATE BILL 515

  On page 2 of the printed A-engrossed bill, after line 9,
insert:
  ' (c) 'Motor home' does not include 'living facility
components,' which means those items designed, used or maintained
primarily for the living quarters portion of the motor home,
including but not limited to the flooring, plumbing fixtures,
appliances, water heater, fabrics, door and furniture hardware,
lighting fixtures, generators, roof heating and air conditioning
units, cabinets, countertops, furniture and audio-visual
equipment.'.
  On page 3, line 3, after 'subsection' insert a comma.
  In line 4, after the first 'the' delete the rest of the line
and insert 'combined amount of the cash price or lease price of
the motor vehicle and the amount of any collateral charges paid
by the consumer, and divided by 120,000.'.
  In line 6, after 'the' delete the rest of the line and line 7
and insert 'combined amount of the cash price or lease price of
the motorcycle and the amount of any collateral charges paid by
the consumer, and divided by 25,000.'.
  In line 9, after 'the' delete the rest of the line and line 10
and insert 'combined amount of the cash price or lease price of
the motor home and the amount of any collateral charges paid by
the consumer, and divided by 90,000.'.
  In line 11, delete 'Except as provided in subsection (5) of
this section,'.
  In line 14, after 'less' insert '10 miles for'.
  Delete lines 17 through 32.
  In line 33, delete '(6)' and insert '(4)'.
  In line 38, delete 'by the consumer'.
  On page 4, line 5, after 'has' delete the rest of the line and
line 6 and insert 'had an opportunity to cure the defect alleged,
but the nonconformity continues to exist;'.
  In line 42, after '(2)' insert 'Except as provided in
subsection (3) of this section,'.
  On page 5, after line 1, insert:
  ' (3) The court may award reasonable attorney fees, fees for
expert witnesses and costs to the prevailing party in an appeal
or action under ORS 646A.400 to 646A.418 that involves a motor
home.'.
