  Directs Oregon Military Department and Department of Veterans'
Affairs to create information campaigns on certain mental and
physical disorders affecting veterans.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to veterans.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + The Oregon Military Department and the
Department of Veterans' Affairs shall:
  (1) Coordinate efforts to increase knowledge and understanding
within public agencies of veterans' medical and psychological
disorders, particularly military sexual trauma, post-traumatic
stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. As used in this
subsection, 'public agency' has the meaning given that term in
ORS 276.265.
  (2)(a) Create and coordinate a public information campaign on
suicide prevention, particularly suicide among veterans.
  (b) The public information campaign shall focus on groups that
assist veterans with reintegration into civilian life.
  (3) Create and coordinate a public information campaign on
prevention of military sexual trauma and domestic violence and to
assist veterans who have been victims of military sexual trauma
or domestic violence. + }
