  Creates Lane County Area Commission on Transportation.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to Lane County Area Commission on Transportation.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) There is created the Lane County Area
Commission on Transportation consisting of:
  (a) At least one member from Metropolitan Policy Committee of
the Lane Council of Governments, selected by the Lane Council of
Governments.
  (b) At least one member from the Lane County Board of
Commissioners, selected by the board.
  (c) One Department of Transportation district manager, selected
by the Director of Transportation.
  (d) At least one elected official from each city within Lane
County that has a population of 50,000 or more within its
boundaries, selected by the legislative body of each city.
  (e) At least one member from the private sector, selected by
the Lane County Board of Commissioners.
  (2) The Lane County Area Commission on Transportation shall
meet at least once each calendar quarter and shall elect one of
its members as chairperson and another as secretary.
  (3) The commission shall provide the following:
  (a) A forum for the discussion, understanding and coordination
of transportation issues affecting Lane County;
  (b) A process for analyzing transportation infrastructure,
capital investments and project prioritization in Lane County;
and
  (c) Recommendations on policy and administration, to be
submitted to the Oregon Transportation Commission.
  (4) The commission shall follow the policy guidelines
established by the Oregon Transportation Commission for a
chartered area commission on transportation. + }
