  Whereas the Legislative Fiscal Office is a permanent,
nonpartisan legislative service agency; and
  Whereas the Legislative Fiscal Office provides the Legislative
Assembly with research, analysis and evaluation of state
expenditures, financial affairs, program administration and
agency organization; and
  Whereas the Legislative Fiscal Office ascertains facts and
makes recommendations to the Legislative Assembly concerning the
Governor's budget report; and
  Whereas the Legislative Fiscal Office ascertains facts and
makes recommendations on such other matters as may be provided
for by joint or concurrent resolution; and
  Whereas the Legislative Fiscal Office serves as the committee
administrative staff for the Joint Committee on Ways and Means
and the Emergency Board; and
  Whereas the Legislative Fiscal Office furnishes such assistance
in the performance of their duties as is requested by the other
committees and members of the Legislative Assembly; and
  Whereas the work of the Legislative Fiscal Office is vital to
the legislative process; and
  Whereas the Legislative Fiscal Office has tirelessly served the
Legislative Assembly for 50 years; now, therefore,
 
Be It Resolved by the Legislative Assembly of the State of
  Oregon:
 
  That we, the members of the Seventy-fifth Legislative Assembly,
extend our gratitude to the Legislative Fiscal Office for 50
years of exceptional service to the Legislative Assembly.
