AN ACT

 

HB 5019

 

Relating to the financial administration of the Department of Justice; appropriating money; and declaring an emergency.

 

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

 

          SECTION 1. There is appropriated to the Department of Justice, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2011, out of the General Fund, the amount of $9,982,345, of which the department may expend up to 54 percent during the period beginning July 1, 2011, and ending June 30, 2012, for the following purposes:

          (1) Paying expenses of district attorneys, as provided in section 2 of this 2011 Act; and

          (2) Paying the expenses incurred in administering this section and section 2 of this 2011 Act, as provided in section 3 of this 2011 Act.

 

          SECTION 2. The Department of Justice, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2011, may allocate moneys from the appropriation made by section 1 of this 2011 Act for the payment of expenses of district attorneys.

 

          SECTION 3. The Department of Justice, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2011, may allocate moneys from the appropriation made by section 1 of this 2011 Act for the payment of expenses incurred in administering sections 1 and 2 of this 2011 Act.

 

          SECTION 4. This 2011 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2011 Act takes effect July 1, 2011.
