Chapter 412 Oregon Laws 2011

 

AN ACT

 

HB 5042

 

Relating to the financial administration of the Department of State Lands; limiting expenditures; and declaring an emergency.

 

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

 

          SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other law limiting expenditures, the following amounts are established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2011, as the maximum limits for payment of expenses from fees, moneys or other revenues, including Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery funds and federal funds, collected or received by the Department of State Lands, for the following purposes:

 

      (1)    Common School Fund

              programs                                    $ 20,528,449

      (2)    Oregon Removal-Fill

              Mitigation Fund                        $ 1,791,136

      (3)    Natural Heritage Advisory

              Council                                       $      27,770

      (4)    South Slough National

              Estuarine Research

              Reserve operations                    $ 3,914,909

      (5)    Capital improvements               $    287,517

 

          SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other law limiting expenditures, the following amounts are established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2011, as the maximum limits for payment of expenses from federal funds collected or received by the Department of State Lands, for the following purposes:

 

      (1)    Common School Fund

              programs                                    $    176,268

      (2)    Natural Heritage Advisory

              Council                                       $    575,813

      (3)    South Slough National

              Estuarine Research

              Reserve operations                    $ 5,050,883

 

          SECTION 3. For the biennium beginning July 1, 2011, expenditures by the Department of State Lands for unclaimed property finders fees and State Treasurer charges for investment-related transactions are not limited.

 

          SECTION 4. This 2011 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2011 Act takes effect July 1, 2011.
