AN ACT

 

HB 3255

 

Relating to pinnipeds; limiting expenditures; and declaring an emergency.

 

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

 

          SECTION 1. For the biennium beginning July 1, 2011, in addition to any other law allowing the State Department of Fish and Wildlife to implement its hazing program of pinnipeds at Willamette Falls, the department shall increase its hazing program of pinnipeds at Willamette Falls from five days a week to seven days a week during the following periods:

          (1) Between February 1, 2012, and April 30, 2012, spending not more than half the amount specified in section 2 of this 2011 Act.

          (2) Between February 1, 2013, and April 30, 2013, spending not more than half the amount specified in section 2 of this 2011 Act.

 

          SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other law limiting expenditures, the amount of $112,932 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2011, as the maximum limit for payment of expenses for the hazing program described in section 1 of this 2011 Act from fees, moneys or other revenues, including Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery funds and federal funds, collected or received by the State Department of Fish and Wildlife.

 

          SECTION 3. This 2011 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2011 Act takes effect on its passage.
