Chapter 582 Oregon Laws 2011

 

AN ACT

 

SB 5531

 

Relating to the financial administration of Oregon Health and Science University; appropriating money; limiting expenditures; and declaring an emergency.

 

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

 

          SECTION 1. In addition to and not in lieu of any other appropriation, there is appropriated to the Oregon Department of Administrative Services, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2011, out of the General Fund, the following amounts, of which the department may expend or allocate up to 54 percent during the period beginning July 1, 2011, and ending June 30, 2012, for Oregon Health and Science University:

 

      (1)    Education and general services                               $         55,978,561

      (2)    University hospitals and clinics

              for operation of the Oregon

              Poison Center                                                             $        2,316,625

      (3)    Child Development and

              Rehabilitation Center                                                $        7,239,450

 

          SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other law limiting expenditures, the amount of $31,634,760 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2011, as the maximum limit for payment of expenses by the Oregon Department of Administrative Services from the Oregon Health and Science University Bond Fund for the following purposes:

          (1) Paying the principal of, and the interest and premium on, outstanding general obligation bonds;

          (2) Funding the general obligation bond reserves; and

          (3) Paying amounts due in connection with any instrument authorized by section 18 (4)(c), chapter 921, Oregon Laws 2001.

 

          SECTION 3. This 2011 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2011 Act takes effect July 1, 2011.
