  Creates offense of unsafe operation of bicycle. Punishes by
maximum fine of $90.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to unsafe operation of a bicycle.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + Section 2 of this 2011 Act is added to and made
a part of the Oregon Vehicle Code. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + (1) A person commits the offense of unsafe
operation of a bicycle if the person operates a bicycle on a
highway while wearing a listening device that is capable of
receiving telephonic communication, radio broadcasts or recorded
sounds.
  (2) The offense described in this section, unsafe operation of
a bicycle, is a Class D violation. + }
