AN ACT
HB 5042
Relating to the financial
administration of the State Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision;
appropriating money; limiting expenditures; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated to the State Board of
Parole and Post-Prison Supervision, for the biennium beginning July 1, 1999,
out of the General Fund, the amount of $2,945,416.
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other law, the amount
of $3,548 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 1999, as the
maximum limit for the payment of expenses from fees, moneys or other revenues,
including Miscellaneous Receipts, excluding federal funds and lottery funds,
collected or received by the State Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision.
SECTION 3. In addition to and not in lieu of any other
appropriation, there is appropriated to the Emergency Board, out of the General
Fund, for the biennium beginning July 1, 1999, the sum of $60,000 for
allocation only to the State Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision for
general operations. Any moneys that remain unallocated and unobligated by the
Emergency Board on November 1, 2000, become available for any other purpose for
which the Emergency Board may lawfully allocate funds.
SECTION 4. Notwithstanding any other law, all sections
of this 1999 Act are subject to Oregon Department of Administrative Services
rules related to allotting, controlling, and encumbering funds.
SECTION 5. This 1999 Act being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is
declared to exist, and this 1999 Act takes effect July 1, 1999.
