Relating to payroll deductions for payment of veterans' loans; creating new provisions; and repealing ORS 292.053.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. ORS 292.053 is repealed.

SECTION 2. A disbursing official making a deduction from salary or wages authorized by ORS 292.053 shall not make the deduction for any pay period ending after January 31, 2000.

SECTION 3. The repeal of ORS 292.053 by section 1 of this 1999 Act becomes operative on February 1, 2000.
