Chapter 427 Oregon Laws 1999

AN ACT
SB 5545
Relating to state financial
administration; appropriating money; limiting expenditures; and declaring an
emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other law appropriating
moneys, limiting expenditures or otherwise adjusting appropriations or
expenditure limitations, and in addition to any action taken by the Emergency
Board, the authorized appropriations or expenditure limitations for the following
programs, boards and departments are changed by the amounts specified for the
biennium ending June 30, 1999:
(1) The limitation on
expenditures established by section 2 (1), chapter 675, Oregon Laws 1997, for
Transportation System Development, is decreased by $564,000.
(2) The limitation on
expenditures established by section 2 (3), chapter 675, Oregon Laws 1997, for
Transportation System Construction, is increased by $20,000,000.
(3) The limitation on
expenditures established by section 2 (5), chapter 675, Oregon Laws 1997, for
Driver and Motor Vehicle Services, is decreased by $6,126,000.
(4) The limitation on
expenditures established by section 2 (6), chapter 675, Oregon Laws 1997, for
Motor Carrier Services, is decreased by $1,879,000.
(5) The limitation on
expenditures established by section 2 (7), chapter 675, Oregon Laws 1997, for
Central Administration, is decreased by $2,908,000.
(6) The limitation on
expenditures established by section 1 (6)(c), chapter 624, Oregon Laws 1997,
for Interstate 5 Rest Area and Tourist Information Project - Ashland, is
increased by $4,544,334.
(7) The limitation on
expenditures established by section 16, chapter 163, Oregon Laws 1997, for the
State Board of Psychologist Examiners, is increased by $22,000.
(8) The limitation on
expenditures established by section 10, chapter 163, Oregon Laws 1997, for the
Board of Naturopathic Examiners, is increased by $6,500.
(9) The appropriation
established by section 1, chapter 701, Oregon Laws 1997, for the Department of
State Police, is increased by $2,023,565.
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other law, the
appropriation made from the General Fund, for the biennium beginning July 1,
1999, for the Department of State Police, in section 1 (1), chapter 231, Oregon
Laws 1999 (Enrolled House Bill 5043), is decreased by $1,000,000.
SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any other law, all sections
of this 1999 Act are subject to Oregon Department of Administrative Services
rules related to allotting, controlling and encumbering funds.
SECTION 4. This 1999 Act being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is
declared to exist, and this 1999 Act takes effect on its passage.
