Relating to foster parents.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. Section 2 of this 1999 Act is added to and made a part of ORS 418.625 to 418.645.

SECTION 2. (1) Notwithstanding ORS 192.410 to 192.505, the name, address and other identifying information about a person who maintains a foster home are confidential and not accessible for public inspection.

(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1) of this section, the State Office for Services to Children and Families may adopt rules that allow the office to disclose information about a person who maintains a foster home if the office deems:

(a) It necessary or advisable to protect the best interests of a child; or

(b) It necessary for the administration of the child welfare laws.
