Relating to housing rentals.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. Section 2 of this 1999 Act is added to and made a part of ORS 659.010 to 659.110.

SECTION 2. The provisions of ORS 659.033 (1)(a) to (d) and (f) that prohibit actions based upon familial status or sex do not apply to the renting of space within a single-family residence if the owner actually maintains and occupies the residence as the owner's primary residence and all occupants share some common space within the residence.

SECTION 3. The exemption created under section 2 of this 1999 Act applies to rentals occurring on or after the effective date of this 1999 Act.
